The circular economy is a model ‘where the value of products, materials and resources is maintained in the economy for as long as possible, and the generation of waste minimised’ (European Commission, 2018). The aim of circular economy is to reduce the use of resources while maintaining productivity in society.
Research wise, I have been involved in four research projects:
- A Vinnova-funded project on circular practices.
- A Formas-funded project on young adults’ participation in the Swedish deposit-refund system for cans and PET bottles. Read the published study here.
- A systematic literature review on consumer behavior and circular food packaging, listen to our presentation of the study here.
- An interdisciplinary project together with chemists and a political scientist on PFAS as a hinder to circular food packaging.
